To find the terminal where the boat for Croatia leaves from was very difficult. There is noone around to ask, no information desks anywhere, nothing. A very helpfull bagage handler from a docked cruise linner finally directed us in the right direction and even called a taxi for us (?20 for a 5 min journey!!). It must be common since a family of 5 appeared just before we got the taxi in the same predicament! Even when we finally were at the right place it wasn't obvious that it was the terminal! Shocking! Luckily the staff at the terminal were great and were waiting for us (and the family afterwards) and rushed us through. The journey itself was great. 2.0
I recently travelled to Porech, Croatia on Venezia Lines from Venice. The service was poor and disorganised. Those boarding the boat in Porech for the return journey were stressed due to the lack of information as to which queue to join. I suggest that they have some clearly laid lines and information for passengers so they know where to stand and what to expect. Can I also suggest that they provide some staff training to raise the standard to meet the price of the ticket. The staff were shabbily dressed and those who had a uniform were having to wear one of such a poor quality material. My wife was in a wheelchair and although we arrived early for the boat almost everyone pushed past us to board infront of us and we eventually boarded near the end of the queue. We didn't wish any special treatment just the dignity to wait in turn like everyone else. This pushing was mainly due to stress experienced by those waiting to board who didn't know where to stand. You should do something about this. We wouldn't catch your service again and couldn't recommend it to others. Visited September 2011 6.8
Holiday in Croatia for 2 weeks. Bored of the beach so we thought we'd spend a day in Venice. The crossing is looooooong, but so worth it - Venice is a magical place, magical! On the way back we slept in the comfy seats to the motion of the ocean, so not too bad. Pricey but worth it. |
