Chania Ferry Port Overview
Chania Ferry Port is situated in the north of the town, and is close to the town's many amenities. Chania Ferry Port links the island of Crete with Piraeus in mainland Greece.
Chania is the principal town in the west of Crete with the Island's second largest population, after Heraklion. Chania is famous for its old town, with the main `Eleftherios Venizelos' square and its Venetian harbour.
The island of Crete has many attractions, from beautiful beaches and unspoilt countryside, to the Minoan palace of Knossos and many archaeological sites. Crete is the largest of the Greek islands, but is small enough to be easily explored by car. Whilst Crete is a popular destination with tourists, you can still find sleepy villages with the traditional white houses and deserted beaches to escape the crowds.
