LD Lines run a value for money ferry service between Portsmouth in the UK and Le Havre in France including a new summer service between Newhaven and Le Havre.
LD Lines (Louis Dreyfus Armateurs) have also been selected to run the existing Transmanche Ferries route between Newhaven in the UK and Dieppe in France, providing passengers with more choice, flexibility and value for money sailings across the Channel.

The LD Lines ferry service operates daily between Portsmouth and Le Havre, and takes on average 4-5 hours. The ferry departs from Portsmouth at 2300 hours arriving in Le Havre the following morning.

LD Lines, a subsidiary of French shipowner LDA (Louis Dreyfus Armateurs), opened the Portsmouth to Le Havre route with the launch of the Norman Spirit in October 2005.
In December 2006, LD Lines were awarded the contract to operate the Newhaven to Dieppe service and is also now running the service between Newhaven and Le Havre.

Whilst on board customers can enjoy the spacious and elegant setting, offering a variety of services to meet all requirements including seven bars and restuarants with flat screen TV's, childrens play area, a bureau de change, video games, slot machines and more. LD Lines provides a Channel crossing with an unexpected level of comfort for an attractive price. Customers can also catch up on some work in the business lounge with its wireless internet facilities or customers can make use of the Oceancell technology, which enables you to use a mobile phone during the entire crossing. There is a daily departure from Portsmouth at 2300hrs* arriving in Le Havre at 0730hrs* the following morning and a daily return from Le Havre at 1700hrs arriving in Portsmouth at 2130hrs*. *local times.
