Olbia Ferry Port Overview
Olbia Ferry Port is situated on the North-East of Sardinia in Italy and it is one of the main connections between Sardinia and the Italian peninsula.
Olbia (locally called "Terranoa" in the Sardinian language or "Tarranoa" in Gallurese), is a town of approximately 40,000 inhabitants in the Gallura sub-region. It is the economic centre of this part of the island (commercial centres, food industries etc) and is very close to the famous Costa Smeralda tourist area.
Olbia connects Sardinia to Italy with an airport ("Olbia-Costa Smeralda"), a passenger port (Olbia-Isola Bianca), and a railway to Porto Torres and Cagliari.
There are expressways to Nuoro and Cagliari (SS131) and national roads to Sassari (SS199-E840), Tempio Pausania (SS127), and Palau (SS125).
More than 3 million passengers and 5 million tons of freight cargo pass through Olbia Ferry Port every year. Olbia port is divided into three areas the Cocciani Port, the Internal Port used for small cruise ships, the Isola Bianca Port for Ro-Ro ships and the new area being built for the larger cruise ships.

From the North of Sardinia, take the SS125, this provincial road will bring you straight to Olbia Ferry Port.
If you are coming from the West of Sardinia, take the SS127.
From the South take the SS131.
You should first follow signs for Olbia, then for Porto di Olbia (Olbia Port).
From the Airport
The airport is only 5km far from Olbia Ferry Port and it offers train, bus, taxi and rent-a-car facilities.
