LD Lines Overview
LD Lines, a subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, started running the Portsmouth - Le Havre route in October 2005. In December 2006 LD Lines were awarded the contract to operate the Transmanche Newhaven to Dieppe service and is also now running a service between Newhaven and Le Havre.
Please Note: The Newhaven - LeHavre service has been closed early for the winter. There is no service from the 3rd of September 2008.
LD Lines offers both passenger and freight customers a cost-effective, frequent and reliable cross-channel ferry service, with prices starting from just £9 for foot passengers.
LD Lines Routes Overview
LD Lines operates daily sailings from Portsmouth to Le Havre, departing from Portsmouth at 2300hrs* and arriving in Le Havre at 0730hrs* the following morning, with a daily return from Le Havre at 1700hrs* arriving in Portsmouth at 2130hrs* (*local times).
The LD Lines ferry service between Newhaven and Le Havre sails daily from May to September with a sailing duration from 5 hours.
The new LD Lines ferry service between Newhaven and Le Havre operates in the summer from May to September with an average sailing time of 5 hours. For more information on the Newhaven to Dieppe service please visit Transmanche Ferries.
LD Lines is proud to announce the new ferry service between Ireland and France starting from October 2008.
LD Lines is offering one weekly crossing onboard their newest ship Norman Voyager between Rosslare in Ireland and Le Havre in France. In addition to this, they are now able to offer more crossings between the already existing route, Portsmouth - Le Havre.
LD Lines Fleet and Onboard Facilities

The LD Lines Norman Spirit also offers a children's play area, shopping facilities and an amusement arcade.
LD Lines offer a wide range of cabin and seating options, including the fully reclining LD Sleeper Seats and cabins specially adapted for wheelchair users.
LD Lines also now offers customers the opportunity to take pets onboard in relation to the Pets Travel Scheme.
