Stavanger Ferry Port is located in Stavanger on the South West coast of Norway by the North Sea. Stavanger is the 4th largest city in Norway and is a major fishing centre and the oil capital of Norway. Stavanger port has always been a critical factor in the development of the city.
Stavanger offers an exciting mix of modern cosmopolitanism with medieval charm, attracting leading cruise-ship operators. Visitors tend to fall in love with Stavanger, especially "Old Stavanger", a very pretty and vibrant part of town. This area near the Stavanger Ferry Port is composed of small wooden houses and cobbled stone paths which are in complete contrast with the city's international and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
The timber town, Stavanger archaeological museum, the culture house and Rogaland theatre, Utstein Monastery church, the Canning museum, the Norwegian printing museum and the most famous Pulpit rock (an extraordinary natural rock formation) are just a few attractions in Stavanger. The Stavanger Ferry port is conveniently located in the centre of Stavanger, with bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Stavanger Ferry Port Directions
By Car
Take the E18 motorway from Drammen and continue through Vestfossen and Kongsberg and then take the E134 to Stavanger.
From Bergen follow Byvegen till Os and then take the E39 through to Tysvaer and Randeberg to Stavanger.
By Rail
The Norwegian State railway operates trains along the southern coast of Norway all the way to Oslo. There are no trains northward. The railway station is located in the centre of town.
By Bus
Nor-way Bussekspress has busses going to Oslo and Kristiansand, Setesdal, Haugesund and Bergen.
