    Better than before
    • Ancona to Durres with Adria Ferries

We have travelled with Adria 3 times now the first 2 were on AF michela which we found dirty and not that great but got us were we needed to be! But last year 2014 we travelled return on AF Francesca and had a completely different experience ! The beds were clean and the pillows didn't smell! The restaurant food was lovely and the staff seemed friendly, I don't know if it was just because we were on a different ferry or if Adria are making improvements but we were happy!

    Great value ferry
    • Bari to Durres with Adria Ferries

I travelled as a foot passenger to Albania Durres 23:00-08:00. Great adventure, turn up at Bari port, get on free bus to ticket office to collect pre booked tickets, get on bus and return, go through customs then on minibus to ship. Walk on ship collect cabin key, find cabin (small and comfortable no frills). Beer in the lounge then bed. Wake up in morning on deck for a cigarette and a great view of Albania. All no problems and staff very friendly and helpful. This is a great value for money way to travel, Don't expect the ritz if your a bit posh, but for me who travels very light on foot it was great.

Think twice about using this route again
    • Durres to Bari with Adria Ferries

From the start there was no clear direction of what to do the - staff were mostly rude and stern in their direction. Up in the Garage decks it was clear of the inexperience when the one member of staff was trying to park three rows of family cars where it was clear only two plus a fiat uno size car would just about fit without damaging other cars. I dreaded what I would find in the morning but all was fine. When we docked there was no member of staff on the car deck telling people to wait until directed to move their cars, instead a number of impatient travellers took it upon themselves to try and move cars themselves this was hilarious but how our car got away without being damaged was a miracle. This was not the end of the farce the disembarkation was something of fawlty towers proportions. When we finally got onboard and collected our key and went to the cabin we found the toilet seat was broken, the smell of smoke / smoking was prevalent all night and the blankets were not fit for use. When we tried to leave the cabin we tried to close the door but the lock was faulty. We got a member of staff and told him about it he said 10 mins and it will be fixed, it never was and when we left the cabin we had to take all baggage with us which was very frustrating. All in all this was a 11 hour sailing of complete madness and disappointment. I also question the safety. Never Again.

    No food
    • Durres to Bari with Adria Ferries

No snacks were available in the snack bar, neither were many drink items. Crew forced family from comfortable place and was subsequently occupied by others. Very slow disembarking

    Will not repeat the journey
    • Bari to Durres with Adria Ferries

The ferry and all its passengers had to wait 2 hours due to an extensive check of one car. The cabins were smelly, not very well cleaned and too hot. Not enough facilities on board for an 8-hour journey.
