The small fishing village of Arbatax is situated on the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Ogliastra provence of Sardinia, 5km west of the nearest town, Tortoli, and home to a small but busy port.
Arbatax is a territory rich in green Mediterranean scrub and the characteristic red rocks and masses of porphyritic granite.

Trenino Verde is a famous tourist train which takes you up the mountainous hinterland. From the light house which sits above the village you can see a breathtaking view of the village.
