Barra Ferry Port Overview
At present, Aferry.co.uk is unable to offer Barra Ferries to Eriskay; please use the booking engine for alternative routes and operators.
Lying at the Southerly tip of the Outer Isles, Barra can be reached by ferry from Eriskay. It is probably best known for its golden beaches, sandy grasslands, wild flowers and rugged interior.
When you arrive at Castlebay, Barra's main harbour town, you will see the Islands most famous landmark, Kisimul Castle. The castle was built by MacNeil of Barra in the 15th Century and remains in the family today.
Barra holds a number of events during the summer months including Barra Live, an island music festival, in July.
