Color Line is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Color Group ASA. The company operates five international cruise ferry lines between seven key ports in Norway, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.
Color Line operates six modern ships, including cruise ships, and a high-speed passenger ferry and a cargo ship (ro-pax).
During the last four years, Color Line has invested approx. NOK 7.5 billion in new ships and concepts, and has sold its older tonnage for more than NOK 1 billion. This engagement, culminating with the introduction of the SuperSpeed2 concept and the opening of the new terminal in Larvik on 19 June, has laid the basis for the company to continue and develop its high quality ferry crossings and efficient transport connections, from its base in Norway.
On board there are all categories of restaurants and large tax-free shops with a wide selection of goods. Color Line offer a wide range of cabins on the ships from the roomy five-star Color Class suites to the more modest one-star cabins. The size and standard of a cabin within each category may vary somewhat from ship to ship. Not all cabin categories are available on all Color Line ships.

Color Line has announced that the Oslo to Hirtshals service will be discontinued from 6th May 2008. The M/S Prinsesse Ragnhild vessel, which operates on this service, will be offered for sale on the international market. Passengers, who have booked after this date, are able to rebook on any other Color Line route.
Color Line will now concentrate on the more crucial ferry routes between Oslo and Kiel, operated by the "Color Fantasy" and "Color Magic" cruise ships, and the SuperSpeed connection between Kristiansand and Larvik to Hirtshals. At the same time Color Line will continue the important passenger service between Sandefjord and Stromstad.
