Craignure port facilities

At the pier's landward end is the vehicle park for ferry traffic, and on the other side the sometimes very busy terminus where day passengers to Iona and Staffa catch their coaches after disembarking from the ferry or the bus to Tobermory. Opposite is Mull's main Tourist Information Centre and the village shops.

About Craignure

Craignure lies close to Mull's easternmost point, and it is reasonably equidistant from the island's two main destinations for visitors: Tobermory to the north and Iona to the west. It is therefore a logical place for the main terminus for the ferries from Oban, and for many years that is exactly what it has been.

    Crossings in great weather!
    • Oban to Craignure with Caledonian MacBrayne

Travelled on Monday 31st May and Friday the 3rd June. Almost trouble - free journey (beautiful weather helped!) Queueing arrangement for ferry back (09.30) rather confusing - no sign to say that the large queue was for an 0830 crossing and traffic backed up down the road when it could have been marshalled into the empty lanes. there needs to be an area on deck for pets - dog owners can not really be expected to use the indoor pet area on a beautiful day!
