Dublin Ferry Port Overview

Dublin Ferry Port is Ireland's largest and busiest ferry port and is situated right in the heart of Dublin, one of the most vibrant capital cities in Europe. It is situated just 2 miles away from the Dublin city centre and is easily accessible by car or by public transport.

Millions of passengers enjoy a trouble free travel through the Dublin Ferry Port every year. Five ferry companies operate up to sixteen sailings daily, connecting Dublin with Holyhead, Liverpool and Douglas.

The Passenger terminals at Dublin Port are fully equipped with a wide range of facilities ensuring the best of industry standards. Both short and long term parking is available outside the main terminal building with pay and display machines on site.

Dublin Ferry Port Directions

By Car
There are two ferry terminals in Dublin. The first is in Dun Laoghaire is six miles south of the city centre (30 mins by DART train to the centre). The Dublin Port tunnel can be reached by the M1 from the North, N11 from the South and N7 from the west.

Dublin port is close to the city centre and is well signposted. From the city centre, follow the Quays from O'Connell Bridge down to the Point Depot music venue, then turn left and follow the road all the way to the port.

By Bus
Dublin Port is served by a local bus (number 53). Bus Eireann operates services from Dublin's central bus station Busárus on Amien Street to many areas across Dublin and Ireland. The Bus Information Office is in O'Connell Street in the city centre.

By Rail
The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) train service will take you to and from Dublin Port in less than half an hour.
