About Dunkerque

Dunkerque Ferry Port is situated across the Channel from Dover on the coast of northern France. The Port of Dunkerque is France's third largest port, because it is conveniently located between London, Brussels and Paris. Dunquerue allows passengers to quickly and efficiently embark, or disembark at the port, making it more convenient than the nearby port of Calais (45km away), which has far more sailings per day. All sailings to Dunkerque can be booked through AFerry.co.uk

Dunkerque is a city that has a lot to offer, from shops and great traditional restaurants, to sandy beaches and a brand new golf course.

From Dunkerque Ferry port, you can easily reach the two covered shopping malls in the city centre, with all major brands and free car parking facilities available.

Dunkerque has 15 km of beautiful sandy beaches, known as the "Dunes de Flandre", making it an ideal holiday destination for families and surfers.

In Dunkerque you can taste original Flemish food as well as fantastic fresh local seafood. Dunkerque is also well known for its new 27-hole golf course, which is located just 15km from the Ferry Port.

    Car Ferry
    • Dover to Dunkerque with DFDS Seaways

A first class experience. My only adverse comments would be that the roadsigns to the ferry port on the French side could be a little clearer.

    First class lounge Quiet lounge
    • Dover to Dunkerque with DFDS Seaways

The quiet lounge is not very quiet , we had all been at work all day and hoped to get a little shut eye on the boat but their is far to many announcements mate, can they not be made at the start of the journey and then let people enjoy the quiet lounge.

    • Dover to Dunkerque with DFDS Seaways

I love travelling with DFDS. Organised nice friendly staff but this was the 2nd time when we arrived to Dunkirk with 20 minutes late. The weather was nice. We start the journey in time....but otherwise we will choose them next time as well

    • Dover to Dunkerque with DFDS Seaways

I have parked where the staff said and than I was unable to open my door and boot! All other cars just parked where they should. The return journey from Dunkerque to Dover started with a shocking bill as they asked extra £50 for the earlier trip on top of the original price. I have checked online the price and it was just £45 if want to buy online at the minute later when the guy asked £50 on top of the valid ticket!
