Venice to Igoumenitsa with Anek Lines
Complete chaos loading at both Venice & Igoumenitsa, complete fiasco checking in at Igoumenitsa (we thought we were going to miss it because it took so long - over 1 1/4 hrs). Ferry times not as published or advised. The standard of hygiene in the toilets was absolutely non-existent. There were not anywhere near enough toilets for the number of passengers and the two toilets available for each sex had not been cleaned properly for months! When we complained to an officer about the disgusting condition of the toilets he merely shrugged his shoulders. We were told that the toilets are cleaned thoroughly each day at 2 am but this did not happen. In the interests of public health and safely this should be addressed urgently.
Piraeus to Chania with Anek Lines
We enjoyed the overnight trip very much. The suite was very comfortable, clean and modern. We dined in the restaurant and found the food good and staff attention excellent. Arrival on board and disembarking from the vessel the next morning was simple and easy.
Venice to Igoumenitsa with Anek Lines
The staff were rude at check in, rude on board, the system of driving cars on and off definately needs tweaking and all in all, I wasnt impressed on my first voyage with them.
