Patras to Venice with Anek Lines
The boat was the Kriti II and it is a bit long in the tooth now. It could use a refit. ANEK have more modern boats (I have travelled on them) and they really should use them on this route as it takes over 30 hours. The boat would be fine for a shorter crossing, but it just feels a bit 'tired'.
Venice to Igoumenitsa with Anek Lines
Apart from the usual problem of the published arrival time being the time when the ferry reaches the entrance to the harbour, rather than when it actually ties up and you are allowed to disembark. This is a very good route to get to Greece. Many people will use the extension of the route to Patras, which is very good value, but this does mean you will need to make sure you either take enough provisions for two nights on board or be prepared to spend in the cafe/restaurant, which I found rather expensive.
Syros to Naxos with Anek Lines
It was very pleasant, relatively on time but at the departure had to wait about 20 minutes, we enjoyed most of the facilities
