We did this trip on a motorcycle which there were no proper fixings for - fine so long as it is calm. The ferry itself was fairly new and very clean and tidy. There is plenty of seating space. Acommodation, even the most basic aircraft seats, is quite expensive for what it is. All in all I would most definately use this route again as it is a pleasant way to cover a long distance between Greece and Northern Italy.
Ancona to Igoumenitsa with ANEK Superfast
I've never been on an overnight ferry before and it was a novelty. The staff were brilliant and the cabin extremely comfortable. Apart from wanting to have more information to update progress of the journey and final arrival time, it was a brilliant way to get from Italy to Greece.
Igoumenitsa to Ancona with ANEK Superfast
I booked via Aferry because the Superfast website would not work. I was returning to UK with a small Transit Pick UP, I paid the fare €455, Same as Outward Journey. When I arrived on the dock they refused to load me and demanded an additional €75-80 euro, they claimed it was a commercial vehicle, yet they loaded in front of me a HIGH LINE, LWB Renault Traffic 1.5 meters longer and nearly a meter Higher than my Transit. This trip was private delivering a kitchen and personal effects to my Greek House. My Firm Supplies goods to Greece From Lithuania, Belgium & UK we spent over €6000.00 on Ferries to Greece, (most of this money went to Superfast ) IN FUTURE WE SHAL BOYCOTT SUPERFAST. SINCE THE TAKE OVER BY ATTICA GROUPE THEY ARE TERRIBLE, Crew are complaining about employment and the company policy. Towels in the cabin were OLD & GREY (presumably they were once White I have been using their ferries for nearly 20 years, NEVER AGAIN. The Chief Purser and his assistant were very rude and I understand if you hold a GERMAN PASSPORT YOU GET A DISCOUNT OF 30%. ILLEGAL FINANCIAL PREJUDICE
