Denia to Palma with Balearia
First check in fast ferry was cancelled due to weather which was quite stormy and we were offered either another ticket on night ferry from Valencia where we would have to make our own way on a bus or 3 days later another fast ferry.We decided to stay on at Denia but at our own expense.The fast ferry over the waters were calm and clear skies so a lovely jorney stopping off at Ibiza town then onto Mallorca for 10.30pm. Little kids ball park and a cafe but nothing else apart from Spanish films and the ear phones did not work in first class anyway.
Ciutadella to Barcellona with Balearia
Having taken the journey from Barcelona to Ciutadela 10 days earlier we arrived at the booking desk on the morning of the 12th April for the return journey to be told (with a wave of her arms and a smirk) "Cancelled" - Really? when is the next ferry? - 24th!!! despite having our email address and mobile phone numbers NO attempt was made to contact us prior to arriving at the terminal. The reason for cancellation? - "Compania reforma" Whatever does this mean.... Their solution? - refund the return fare - LESS TAX! STRANDED four adults one vehicle and two dogs. The same applied to numerous passengers - French and Spanish alike. I cannot emphasise here how angry I and all the other passengers are.
Denia to Ibiza with Balearia
First time using the service. We took our dog. Quite difficult to know what we had to do - but once done we will know for next time! Note dogs have to go in kennels on board! Difficult website to follow regarding schedules for ferries. Otherwise will definitely use again.
