Denia to Ibiza with Balearia
I paid extra to go Neptuno class so as to have a more comfortable trip. On arriving in the very nice comfortable seats I was looking forward to a pleasant journey. The television was on at an acceptable volume although I and 95% of the other travellers were not watching it. Then a passenger came in and took it on himself to increase the volume from the side of the television to a very annoying volume, not conducive to a peaceful trip. I asked the steward at the bar if I could go into the other Neptune lounge and was told that it was not possible, so I told him the problem and he did turn the volume down with his mando to an acceptable level. Within 5 minutes the volume was increased again so I had no alternative but to sit outside in the bar area for most of the trip. On my return trip to Ibiza I purchased a cabin for peace and quiet. Head sets should be supplied as not everybody wants to watch the TV
Ibiza to Denia with Balearia
Overall booking with AFerry to travel was easier than direct with Balearia. Prices are high as competition seems limited so choice for ferry provider and journey are limited. However I personally preferred travel via Denia which is an interesting town but manageable with the short time we were there. I have travelled via Barcelona and Valencia both have their own but different charm. Ignoring price and choice everything was as it should be. With a wait before boarding and really no clues given as to procedure, once aboard everything including disembarking at destination was fine.
Barcellona to Palma with Balearia
Fine although need better information about where the ferry terminal is and the office to collect the tickets. Cabin dirty on return leg (dirty cups, under bed needed mopping, table dirty from previous occupants). Outbound leg fine. Bathrooms, beds clean.
