Ancona to Split with Blue Line

The price was excellent and the cabin simple but it had everything I needed. I really have no complaints. To me though what really makes or breaks a trip are my fellow travellers - if they are noisy or rude. I must admit that this wasn't the case and the staff were very pleasant and really willing to help in any way they could. I would definitely use this company again. Thanks Blue Star!

Ancona to Split with Blue Line

We booked a return journey Ancona-Split with Blue Line as an alternative to a direct flight to Split and are glad we did as it was a really relaxed and convenient way to travel. We had a VIP double cabin on the outgoing trip which was very spacious & comfortable, and ate in the a la carte restaurant, which was ok. Breakfast was a bit of a scramble for a few bits and pieces so not great, and they seemed to love piping 90s R&B through the PA system - but otherwise it was a good way to travel. Return journey seemed to be a newer ship (also with a welcome addition of a lift!) and we had a normal twin cabin this time but again it was quite spacious, with shower, toilet and sink.

Ancona to Split with Blue Line

We found it hard to find the ferry terminal in Ancona as we had walked from the train station in 33 degree heat. There were signs saying it was 900m, but it wasn't that clearly posted. There is a bus no. 20. Which we think was free, but there was no indication of when it came. The services at the terminal were good, though no food on offer other than dispense machines. The ferry staff were great. The cabin was not air conditioned so got VERY hot. The food on board - we had an evening meal and a morning croissant and coffee -was excellent. We hated the low cost yellow star on the side of the ship as for us it wasn't. . Overall it was a great way to travel.
