Bilbao to Portsmouth with Brittany Ferries

Boat and facilities good. Port in Bilbao very remote from city which is not obvious on booking. The restuarant was disappointing and poor value for money as it is situated on a main thoroughfare of Deck 7 and close to the truckers cafe which made it noisy and not special. Tables were not set properly and the service was not very professional. Cheese board was good! Last year's experience on Santander to Plymouth on Pont Aven was much better as far as the dining experience was concerned.

Portsmouth to Caen with Brittany Ferries

Difficult to fault Brittany, good ships, good service. Problem normally is cost compared to other routes. This 'less than half price' offer through AFerry was irresistible.

Poole to Cherbourg with Brittany Ferries

We were impressed with the easy process of checking in and driving on to the 'Barfleur' both at Poole and Cherbourg. The trip was excellent value for money. We settled in to comfortable seats in the lounge for the journey and enjoyed delicious baguettes - the hot meals also looked very good. Staff were pleasant and polite.
