Swansea to Cork with fastnet Line
It is a fantastic connection for us since we live in Cork. We travelled from Holland and Swansea is not that far from Harwich or Dover etc. Being on the ferry, eat, enjoy and sleep and when you arrive you are not too far away from the place where you live, is a pleasure.

The route itself is very handy and the staff o board are very accomodating, however i found the food available onboard to be very pricey especially for what you're getting. 12 euro for a bottle of water and a curry (which wasnt great) is very expensive. also the internet service onboard is quite expensive, however i do understand the expense involved in bringing such a convenent service onboard that, under normal circumstances, wouldnt be available at all. overall a great route. glad they brought it back.

We went to Ireland on the Fishguard - Rosslare ferry and then stayed the night in Waterford en route to Castletownshend in West Cork. The drive from Rosslare to West Cork was long and tedious. The return ferry trip from Cork to Swansea was excellent, an overnight crossing with comfortable cabin, extremely good restaurant (for a ferry) and a good nights sleep. It cost more, but by the time one factors in the extra fuel and overnight accomodation in going the Rosslare route, it is well worth it. The overnight Swansea Cork ferry is definitely the route we will use next year.
