Le Havre to Portsmouth with LD Lines
Outward trip Le Havre to Portsmouth: seating (upholstery) in lounge somewhat on the tired side. Arrived in Portsmouth very early but then "sat" and waited for nearly an hour until we berthed - so no gain of time there! Why? Return trip back to Le Havre, overnight ferry: very long walk (almost like at an airport!) from car deck 4 to Information on deck 5! Cabin well equipped and enough room to move about without one having to sit on the bed to let someone else pass. Bed comfortable, bedding fine. Were able to sleep well, no night-time announcement or noise in the corridor! Did not use restaurant, prices seemed to be ok. Left and arrived on time.
Newhaven to Dieppe with LD Lines
Smooth crossing, departed on time and arrived on time, the catering on board was excellent value for money, only down side was the childrens play area was closed as it required some minor repairs and some of the lounge chairs were a bit shabby, apart from that, I would be happy to recommend to others.
Portsmouth to Le Havre with LD Lines
Enjoyed the trip. It was a very calm sea and I slept for 7 straight hours on this boat and that is a complete first. We could not get an `en suite when we booked on line but were delighted to be upgraded with a bathroom when we got to the cabin. Good service - breakfast slightly disappointing - we had the full english. Excellent cup of coffee. The staff were extremely helpful - something that is essential at that early hour.
