Hull to Rotterdam Europoort with P&O Ferries

I have used P and O ferries for many years and can honestly say that the service has got worse and worse. The staff act like they are doing you a favour for traveling with them and have the worst customer service i have ever dealt with. The food is horrific and whilst having a quiet drink in the piano bar a fight broke out between two groups of people and we were really scared. The ferry is very old and always has problems when it docks up, and it took 3 hours to get off the ferry with no word from any staff about what is going on just had to sit in car and wait for three hours. We have decided to never use P and O again instead we will drive to dover sail with Norfolk line and spend the night in E tap hotel in brugge for the night, save about £150 and far better experience.

Hull to Rotterdam Europoort with P&O Ferries

Having travelled both through Dover and Hull, the overnight crossing is far easier. It took us two and a half hours from Liverpool instead of five and a half to Dover. This meant that we were not exhausted when we got on the boat and the kids not bored and having slept too long. We were then able to have a sleep on the boat and drive refreshed to Germany. On the minus side, the entertainment could have started a little earlier, it probably began at 10pm but we had put the kids to bed by then so have no idea. Kids World should be renamed Kids Ball Pond as that is all there is. There is a TV set but in three crossings I have never seen it on. Overall, we will travel using this crossing again, but it would be nice if it was a bit cheaper.
