Liverpool to Dublin with P&O Irish Sea Ferries
Everything was well organised and all went to plan. The only grumble was that whilst certain items were on sale you could not buy alchohol other than at the bar. So if you want to take a bottle as a present etc you should buy it at the supermarket before boarding.

Checking in and the sailing were very good. Finding the Port for the P&O sailing - Liverpool/Dublin was catastrophic. It took us over 3 hours driving round Liverpool and back and forth through both tunnels until we found someone who knew where the P&O dock was. These were the people at the gate of (TruckFerries???) who had available a strip map to the P&O Dock. For them obviously a common occurence. It seems most people in the area who we asked think the ferry to Dublin is from Birkenhead (Stena Line) but most certainly did not know where the P&O Dock is. We also met many truck drivers on the way who had the same problem. Fortunately we were early, otherwise we would have missed the boat. I would suggest that the ferry signs in Liverpool indicate also the names of the shipping line.
Cairnryan to Larne with P&O Irish Sea Ferries
Expensive but efficient journey. Disembarkation somewhat slower than I expected though.
