Barcellona to Palma Mallorca with Trasmediterranea

Finding the entrance to the embarkation area was difficult and a small map would have been very helpful. We had booked online so had to pick up our tickets at the terminal - this was extremely easy and the staff very helpful. Loading and disembarking the ship was the least professional part of the trip. Loading required a lot of manoeuvring which is understandable but there appeared little thought going into the process and it all seemed rather chaotic. When disembarking all the drivers were left to their own devices as there was no supervision at all. Once we had parked the car overall we found the journey enjoyable and relaxing. The quality of the food was good and plentiful but not very hot. The cafeteria was clean and the staff cleared the tables promptly. Our cabin - a 4 berth for the two of us - was comfortable, clean and in a good state of repair. The lounges were spacious and airy with television sets showing a variety of channels. The on board shop had a limited stock but was fun to look around.

Tanger Med to Algeciras with Trasmediterranea

Nice newish clean terminal, easy to move through the various stages of check-in, security and boarding. Would definitely use again.

Valencia to Palma Mallorca with Trasmediterranea

What a horrible journey, boring, nothing to to, very uncomfortable hostile surroundings all set up with a view to make you the most uncomfortable you could possibly get, in order that you give in and buy a 300 Euro bunk bed for 5-6 hours sleep...5 Star hotels don't cost that much! Also, everything closes including the most comfortable lounge that has a bit of carpet, so you are banned to the uninviting areas with hard wood floors and bolt upright tiny chairs. Unless you want use your allocated seat to sleep in and then they turn the heating up to 100 degress, so you can't sleep, that's if you have the knack of sleeping upright anyway! Food is nasty, 25 Euros for two very bad basic meals, so recommend you eat before you get on there.
