Alexandria to Venice with Visemar Line

We were very fortunate to find a way out of a difficult situation with this ferry. Our journey across the Middle East was to take us through Syria & Turkey to Europe. Unfortunately the situation in Syria deteriorated dramatically and we were unable to continue north on from Jordan. But a detour to Egypt and a ferry from Alexandria to Venice rescued us, our car & our trip. The ferry service is only a year old and the boats are brand new. The crew are very helpful and the trip was a very relaxing interlude between the crazy driving on Egyptian and Italian roads.

Venice to Alexandria with Visemar Line
