The Heysham Passenger Terminal has extensive facilities which include a TV/Video Lounge, Children's Play Area, Baby Changing room, Disabled Toilet & vending machines for hot & cold refreshments & snacks. Also a Little Chef Express offers a menu of hot and cold meals and drinks.
The Terminal has wheelchair access. If assistance with boarding is needed, this should be requested when booking. You will find the nearest petrol station about 1.5 miles away in Oxcliffe Road (The Tibicar Filling Station).
Car Parking (at owner's risk) is available adjacent to the Terminal Building. Ample space is available and no advance booking is required, current cost £5.00 per 24 hrs. Maximum stay 28 days.
Exit M6 J34 & follow A589 to Morecambe & Heysham for 3.5 miles. At 2nd roundabout take A683 to Heysham which is 3.5 miles away. Follow signs for Ferry Port which is at the west end of Heysham village.
Stagecoach Ribble operate a bus service from Combermere Road in Heysham. This is approximately a 10-minute walk to the passenger terminal.
The town of Heysham is an interesting old fishing port. It acts as a gateway to the nearby popular seaside resort Morecambe and one of England's oldest cities, Lancaster. Worth exploring in Heysham is the new Heritage Centre, the public gardens and the ruins of the ancient chapel St Patrick's, close to St Peter's Church.
