    Leg of the road trip
    • Larvik to Hirtshals with Color Line

We were greeted at the check in desk by name! (we were the only British car) and loaded quickly. We were unsure how the reservation for seats in the restaurant worked, but the staff were very helpful and showed us exactly the process. As soon as the ship left, the buffet service started and this carried on until 1Hr before docking. The selection of hot and cold foods and drinks was very good. The restaurant provided a good base for the journey. Unloading was equally efficient. The only slight issue was the lack of sockets to use to charge the multitude of devices we all end up carrying.

    Color Line the BEST
    • Hirtshals to Larvik with Color Line

I cannot fault the service I received from all the staff on the Superspeed ferry of Color line. On arrival my car failed to start and their staff soon had my engine running with a jump leads.

    • Larvik to Hirtshals with Color Line

The ship and services worked out fine. Friendly staff and the quality of food was excellent. I especially appreciate that people are directed to their tables at the buffet and the atmosphere is nice and friendly.

    • Larvik to Hirtshals with Color Line

It was a very good experience, with 'aferry' to make the reservation, it was easy and detailed. Also, easy check in in the day of travel. The boat was excelent. Organization, in time, facilities inside, catering....great time for a part of our vacation.

    Great trip
    • Larvik to Hirtshals with Color Line

We travelled as family of 6 people on a car , the ferry was delayed for 1hour and the waiting time to get into ferry was quite long when we were directed to park in lorry deck with lorries. By the time we got on board, the ferry was overcrowded and unfortunately there were no seats to stay and have food so we stayed on floor for the rest of journey which wasn't very comfortable especially with 3 young children. Positive side was that there were good shops with good sale offers so we got plenty of presents on our way back to England . The announcements were quite regular in both Norwegian and English during the journey comparing to other journey when we travelled from Hirtshalls to Kristansand, considering it is the same service provided by Colorline. It would also be helpful if the announcements included children's facilities so you don't wander around and look for a place to keep kids busy especially in such a huge ferry. Overall, the journey experience was good, so 4 stars to Colorline Larvik-Hirtshalls.
