From the 7th January a third sailing across the Channel will be available from Newhaven to Dieppe. For the New Year LD
Transmanche Ferries will increase its sailings across the Channel by a third in response to higher demand, mainly for freight.
Currently, lorries are having to wait in Newhaven or Dieppe for later sailings due to a lack of spaces. From the 7th January, both ports will be connected by three sailings in both directions. A new sailing will leave Newhaven at 08:00 to arrive in Dieppe at 13:00. From Dieppe the new sailing will leave at 12:30 arriving in Newhaven at 15:30.
The new sailings come under the agreement between the ferry company and the Département de Seine-Maritime, without the need for any extra grants.
