Travellers planning to book a ferry to France this year can now make use of a free iPhone application that has been launched by aferry.co.uk.
The Find a Ferry tool allows users to view a list of the next available sailings from specific ports, meaning both business and leisure travellers can quickly find the crossing that best meets their needs.
While the app will initially cover routes between the UK and France, there are plans to extend it to other regions in the near future.
Kirsty Laifa, a spokesperson for aferry.co.uk, said the new offering could prove an "invaluable asset" for iPhone users.
She added: "Ferry travel is clearly having a massive resurgence, aferry.co.uk has seen an uplift of more than 50 per cent in bookings over peak summer months last year and we're confident that this trend will continue as we develop easier and faster ways for travellers to access ferry travel information."
The app can be downloaded from Apple's iTunes store.
