Lovers of soul music may be tempted to hop on cheap ferries to Amsterdam at the end of October to catch up with a tour by Al Green.
Green will perform at the Paradiso in the Dutch capital on October 31st as part of a tour that will take him to a number of locations around Europe and the UK.
Other stops on the soul legend's tour will include Dublin (October 26th and 27th), Manchester (November 3rd) and Stockholm (November 8th).
Green rose to fame in the 1970s, with hits that have endured until modern times, including Let's Stay Together and Tired of Being Alone.
He has enjoyed something of a resurgence recently, releasing the album Lay it Down this year featuring guest appearances by the likes of John Legend and Corinne Bailey Rae.
In 2004, the singer was inducted into the Gospel Music Association's Hall of Fame and in the same year he was ranked number 65 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 greatest artists of all time.
Brits can catch ferry crossings to Amsterdam from Newcastle with DFDS Seaways.
