One of the most popular destinations for winter sports fans taking ski holidays to France is set to host a special festival in February.
The village of Vaujany, which is located close to Alpe d'Huez high in the French Alps, will host its 'Head in the Stars' festival between February 6 and 13, Ski Rebel Magazine reported.
The event is aimed at giving holidaymakers an alternative to the usual apres-ski scene, with star-gazing lessons led by a professional astronomer on offer instead of a night in a resort bar.
In addition, the festival will also see guests enjoying ski breaks in Vaujany treated to displays of ice dancing and speed painting.
The village, which is slowly emerging as a leading destination for family ski holidays to France, caters for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, with its slopes ranging from green to black-graded.
Meanwhile, in the summer, Vaujany is also an idyllic destination for walking and mountain biking breaks, while the 'Massif de Grandes Rousses' mountains also offer challenging climbing routes.
