Travellers can begin planning their Belfast ferry breaks following the official unveiling today (August 23rd) of the programme for the 2010 Ulster Bank Belfast Festival at Queen's.
Organisers of the event said that it will be "bursting at its proverbial seams", with live music, theatre, dance, visual arts and much more featuring on the 16-day programme, which begins on October 15th.
People planning to join in with the fun can take
ferries from Liverpool to Belfast with
Norfolkline, while
Stena Line offers
ferries from Stranraer to Belfast.
Highlights of the festival will include an appearance by Michael Palin, a concert featuring local legend Paul Brady with the Ulster Orchestra and a show by acclaimed Australian circus group Circa.
Event director Graeme Farrow said: "We thought that last year's programme would be hard to beat, but I'm delighted to say that we have managed to do just that.
"With a hectic schedule that is bursting with the most talented artists from every area of the arts world, there's never been a better time to get involved."
Shows and performances will take place at venues such as Ulster Hall, the Waterfront and the Grand Opera House.
Travellers based in Scotland can also reach Northern Ireland with
P&O, which offers
ferries from Troon to Larne.
