People looking for a way to shake off the winter blues in January might be interested in taking ferries to Belfast to visit the Out to Lunch festival.
Marking its fifth anniversary this year, the arts extravaganza will take place in the Cathedral Quarter from January 6th to 31st.
Travellers based in England can take ferries to Belfast from Liverpool with
Norfolkline Irish Sea, while those coming from Scotland can use the Stranraer to Belfast ferry route served by
Stena Line.
Comedy fans will find plenty to interest them at Out to Lunch next year, with Robin Ince set to perform on January 6th and Kevin McAleer taking to the stage at the Black Box venue on January 9th.
There will also be plenty of musical entertainment on offer, with acts including Edwyn Collins, Malcolm Holcombe and the Demesne String Quartet set to perform.
Other highlights of the 2010 festival programme include the theatre production Austen's Women and the Black Books fair.
The
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company also operates a Belfast ferry route from Douglas, while
Stena Line offers ferries to Larne from Fleetwood.
