Ferries to Ireland will prove popular among music fans in September when the Electric Picnic festival returns.
The event will take place around Stradbally Hall in the quiet town of Stradbally, just an hour outside Dublin, on the weekend of September 3rd to 5th.
According to the organisers of the festival, the green lawns around the hall provide "the perfect setting for a feast of eclectic music, entertainment and food".
Travellers can reach Ireland with
Irish Ferries, which offers regular
ferries from Holyhead to Dublin, while
Stena Line provides
ferries from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire, which is located just outside the capital.
A host of big names will be performing at Electric Picnic this year, including Massive Attack, Leftfield, LCD Soundsystem, Roxy Music and Mumford and Sons.
There will also be shows by the likes of Hot Chip, Gil Scott Heron and Seasick Steve to enjoy at the festival, as well as comedy, visual arts, theatre and more.
Visitors setting off from northern England can travel with
P&O Irish Sea or
Norfolkline, both of which offer
ferries from Liverpool to Dublin.
