Travellers planning to catch ferries to Ireland for a getaway next month might be interested in attending the AIB Street Performance World Championship.
There will be two outings of the event in Ireland - in Cork's Fitzgerald Park and Mardyke Sports Ground from June 12th to 13th and at Merrion Square in Dublin from June 17th to 20th.
An impressive range of shows will be staged during the championships, from contortionism and balancing acts to improvised comedy and magic.
People planning to attend the event in Cork can take
ferries from Fishguard to Rosslare with
Stena Line and drive to the southern city, while those heading to Ireland's capital can take
ferries from Holyhead to Dublin with
Irish Ferries.
Highlights of this year's AIB Street Performance World Championship will include a special appearance by the USA Breakdancers, who won the competition last year.
The Dublin competition will invite visitors to take part in an attempt to break the world record for the most people bouncing on a space hopper at one time.
Holidaymakers planning a trip to Ireland this year also have the option of taking
ferries from Liverpool to Dublin with
P&O Irish Sea and
Norfolkline.
