Book early to catch a ferry good bargain with P&O Ferries

Canny cross-Channel travellers can snap up peak summer fares to France with P&O Ferries for just £35 each way for a car and up to nine people.

That's the lead-in price still available right through the summer on the Dover - Calais service.

P&O Ferries has ditched early booking offers in favour of low cost airline style pricing, so fare bands move up as bookings come in.

That means the tip is to book as early as possible to get the biggest choice of sailings at the lowest prices.

Other peak summer fares for any duration include: Spain from £320 each way for a car and four people on the Portsmouth -Bilbao service in July / August (cabin included).

Holland and Belgium from £144 each way for a car and two people in July / August on the Hull to Rotterdam / Zeebrugge routes (cabin included).
