Brittany Ferries is cooperating with Spanish tourism organisations to promote late holiday deals for the summer, according to reports.
The passenger carrier provides access to Spain on its ferries to Santander from Portsmouth and Plymouth.
Brittany Ferries is working in conjunction with the Spanish Tourism Organisation to promote the Cantabria province, of which Santander is the capital, Travel Weekly reports.
The summer campaign is set to be followed by destination-specific promotions in the autumn.
Commenting on the current state of the Spanish travel industry, tourist office director Ignacio Vasallo said: "Things are not as bad now as they were a few months ago. This investment will pull people to the late deals."
Brittany Ferries uses its luxury flagship Pont-Aven to operate services from Portsmouth and Plymouth to Santander.
British travellers interested in visiting Spain this year can also catch
ferries from Portsmouth to Bilbao with P&O Ferries.
