Brittany Ferries introduces new Santander service |  | | | 17 November 2008 | Brittany Ferries has confirmed details of its new service from Portsmouth to Santander, which will be launched next year to complement its existing ferry crossing from Plymouth to the Spanish port.
The new weekly service will be launched in mid-March and both sailings will be operated by the company's new flagship Pont-Aven.
With a crossing time of 24 hours, the new route will be the fastest direct ferry crossing from Portsmouth to northern Spain, according to Brittany Ferries.
Passengers will be able make use of a number of onboard facilities during their journey, including comfortable cabins, gourmet restaurants and lounges offering a range of entertainment.
There will be one return sailing from Portsmouth every week, with departures from the British port on either Tuesdays or Wednesdays and return services from Santander on Mondays.
Brittany Ferries will be using its Pont-Aven flagship to sail from Portsmouth to St Malo in France until the end of February 2009. |
