Brittany Ferries promotes golf breaks | | | | 04 November 2009 | Brittany Ferries has encouraged golf fans to hop on ferries to France and take advantage of the wide range of courses located throughout the west of the country.
The company has released a brochure on golf breaks, which provides details on 60 courses in Brittany, Normandy and the Loire.
One of the main benefits of a golfing holiday in France, according to Brittany Ferries, is the fact that many courses are uncrowded as the sport has not taken off to the extent that it has in the UK.
Travellers can also take advantage of the food, wine and cultural experiences on offer in the European country.
Announcing the release of its new brochure, Brittany Ferries said: "France is a world apart from the UK and yet it is only a short hop across the channel.
"With its outstanding cuisine, wine, cheeses and unique ambience, the apres-golf is part of what makes a golf break in France so memorable and so much fun."
The company operates ferries to Caen, Cherbourg and St Malo from Portsmouth as well as Roscoff ferry services from Plymouth and Cork.
