A
Brittany Ferries service has been praised by a travel review provided by a passenger who boarded in challenging circumstances, as both she and her son had the flu.
Writing for Travel Mole, Bev Fearis was particularly complimentary about the "delicious" fish and chips she and her son enjoyed in the self-service restaurant on board the Pont Aven, one of the
ferries from Portsmouth to St Malo that the firmruns.
Prospective passengers may also be encouraged by the space available in cabins, which in this case had ample room for the travel cot it came equipped with.
And the author noted that ferry travel has a different effect on people than flying, commenting: "Unlike air travel, where it's often every man for himself, ferry travel doesn't seem to bring out the worst in people."
This observation came as she was helped by others to get her baggage onboard.
Brittany Ferries describes St Malo as being ideally suited for those planning to visit areas like Brittany, the Dordogne and the Atlantic coast.
