Brittany ferry trips 'ideal for Mother's Day'

A cross channel ferry trip to Roscoff in northern France provides the perfect option for people planning to treat their mums for Mother's Day, according to Brittany Ferries.

The company said that a break in the port town provides the opportunity to "relax and unwind" and savour a change of scenery, as well as the famous wine and cuisine of Brittany.

Attractions in Roscoff include a picturesque seafront lined by charming granite houses, bars, restaurants and shops where kids can treat their mums to a Mother's Day gift.

Visitors can also head to the local aquarium, church and tropical gardens, or visit a luxury spa offering plenty of opportunities for pampering.

Brittany Ferries offers ferry crossings to Roscoff from Plymouth on the south coast of England, with additional sailings to the French port from Cork in Ireland.

The company also provides routes to St Malo, Cherbourg and Caen from southern England and will this year launch a new ferry service from Portsmouth to Santander in northern Spain.
