Brittany to host modern music event |  | | | 20 August 2008 | Brits planning ferry crossings to Brittany this autumn may get the opportunity to attend a contemporary music event set to be held in the region.
The Ebruitez-Vous Festival will be held in the town of Rennes from September 23rd until October 5th.
This event celebrates Brittany's love of all things musical and melodic, incorporating poetry, theatre, circus shows, cinema and plenty of musical performances.
Various venues around Rennes, which is the capital of the Brittany region, will play host to events presented as part of the festival.
As well as being the provincial capital, Rennes is a popular tourist destination, boasting historical attractions including the 17th century parliament building and the Halles Martenot, which hosts a Sunday morning market.
Brittany Ferries, Condor Ferries and HD Ferries are among the operators that offer regular services to the north-west coast of France, with crossings setting off from Porstmouth, Poole, Weymouth and other ports. |
