Music fans will be booking ferries to Bruges soon in preparation for a biennial festival that will be returning to the Belgian city this month.
Jazz Brugge will take place in two main venues - the attic auditorium of Memling in Sint-Jan and the Concertgebouw - from September 30th to October 3rd.
First held in 2002, the festival will be celebrating its fifth edition this year.
Travellers can join in with the special occasion by taking ferries from Hull to Zeebrugge with
P&O.
Proceedings will get underway on the final Thursday in September with a performance by the Viktor Toth Trio at Memling in Sint Jan, which will be followed by shows by Keith Tippett, MKMB and Il Vino All'Opera at the Concertgebouw in the evening.
Other artists who will be playing at Jazz Brugge this year include the Enrico Rava Quintet, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra featuring Bert Joris and British jazz favourite Courtney Pine.
People planning a trip to Belgium this year also have the option of taking
ferries from Ramsgate to Ostend with
TransEuropa Ferries, which operates the route in partnership with
LD Lines.
