Calvados to host Equidays festival | | | | 23 September 2008 | People with a love for horses should consider paying a visit to Calvados in France in October as the region hosts a festival dedicated to the beautiful animals.
Calvados is famous for its equine culture, with more than 1,400 stud farms, numerous horse riding centres and eight race tracks.

Visitors to Calvados can visit a number of attractions and locations during their holiday, including the Bayeux Tapestry, which makes Bayeux one of the most visited destinations in Normandy.
People on ferry crossings to France from the UK can sail to a number of ports that provide access to Calvados and the Normandy region, including Caen, Cherbourg and Le Havre, with operators such as Brittany Ferries and LD Lines. |
