People who have a taste for good food, and seafood in particular, will be able to catch Brittany ferries this year to attend a number of gastronomic events in the French province.
The first major event that holidaymakers can attend is the Scallop Festival, which will be held in Saint Quay Portrieux from May 1st to 3rd and offer the chance to try fresh scallops caught in the Bay of St Brieuc.
At the Binic Cod Festival between May 21st and 23rd, the fishing heritage of the local town will be celebrated by seafood tastings on the quayside, food markets and live music concerts.
Travellers planning to catch Brittany ferries in the summer will be able to visit the Crepe Festival in Gourin on July 25th and 26th, which will include an attempt to make the world's largest pancake.
The ferry port of Roscoff will then be the centre of attention on August 22nd and 23rd as it hosts the Pink Onion Festival, complete with organised walks, tasting sessions and music shows.
Brittany Ferries sails to Roscoff from Plymouth and also offers ferry crossings from Portsmouth to St Malo and from Poole to Cherbourg.
Other companies that operate ferries to northern France include LD Lines,
Condor Ferries and Seafrance.
