Lovers of classical music may be interested in catching Dublin ferries in January to enjoy an innovative performance event dedicated to Johann Strauss.
Strictly Strauss will be presented at the Dublin Concert Hall on January 24th and 25th, with tickets available from 22 (£20.50) and performances starting at 3:15pm and 8:00pm.
Audience members will be entertained by the Johann Strauss Orchestra, soprano singer Elena Xanthoudakis and dancers attired in lavish period costumes.
A number of well-known Strauss pieces will be performed, including the Blue Danube Waltz, Voice of Spring and Emperor Waltz, creating an atmosphere that will transport listeners to the grand ballrooms of 19th century Vienna.
People planning Dublin ferry trips will be able to attend a number of concerts and performances at the Concert Hall in January, including the annual show by the Dublin Youth Orchestras on January 17th.
Both P&O Ferries and Norfolkline sail from Liverpool to Dublin, while Stena Line and
Irish Ferries operate services to Dublin from Holyhead.
