Those with a soft spot for the festive tradition of pantomime entertainment will be able to book Wightlink ferries this Christmas and combine a show with a visit to the Isle of Wight.
The island will present a number of panto productions this year, including Babes in the Wood, which will be staged four times at the Trinity Theatre in Cowes between December 6th and 14th.
A Winifred and King Palmers adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's story The Snow Queen will run at the Apollo Theatre in Newport from December 10th to 20th.
Another popular story for pantomime adaptation, Jack and the Beanstalk, will be the subject of two productions in Newport this year, one at Quay Arts and another at the Medina Theatre.
In Ventnor, the Winter Gardens will host the Twelve Days of Christmas Family Pantomime from December 11th to 14th, a show that features characters ranging from fairies and princes to Santa Claus himself.
