Demand for ferry crossings to Dublin towards the end of next month is likely to be strong as arts lovers head across the sea for the city's annual Culture Night.
Due to take place this year on September 25th, the special night will see more than 80 of the Irish capital's leading arts and cultural centres open their doors late into the night and host special events and exhibitions.
Among those due to participate in Dublin Culture Night 2009 are Trinity College Library, St Patrick's Cathedral, the National Museum of Ireland and the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
As well as giving visitors the chance to see the city's finest culture at a leisurely pace and free from the daytime crowds, the night openings will also feature a series of talks, workshops and tours, often allowing 'behind the scenes' access for one night only.
To make organising a visit easier prior to a ferry crossing to Ireland, organisers of the Culture Night have divided the city up into cultural quarters, including the famous Temple Bar and North Georgian parts of the city, as well as the Docklands and Heuston quarters.
Visitors taking a
Liverpool to Dublin ferry before Culture Night will also be able to enjoy a host of cultural events, with the National Museum of Ireland currently hosting a special exhibition on Irish travel posters of the 20th century.
