Cross-channel ferries could be in high demand over the coming months as a result of interest in Lille3000, a major festival set to be held in northern France that will celebrate the culture and character of modern Europe.
A series of diverse events and activities will be held in Lille between March 14th and July 12th.
Lille3000 has been arranged this year to mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, an occasion that heralded the beginning of a new phase in European history.
It will present a fascinating exploration of the continent as it exists today by hosting a number of themed art exhibitions, installations, film screenings, music concerts, performances and more.
These events will take visitors on a journey of countries that have flourished as part of the new Europe, including Latvia, Hungary, Poland and Slovenia.
Lille is located in north-east France, meaning it can be easily reached by taking ferries from Dover to Calais or Dunkerque with P&O Ferries, Seafrance or Norfolkline.
